Dispersal Results
The Auction could best be described as a resounding vote of confidence in the Australian alpaca industry and in well bred animals. Halcyon Alpaca Stud’s complete unreserved dispersal drew buyers from the United Kingdom, New Zealand and most states of Australia. A large crowd was in attendance on the property to witness spirited bidding and a complete clearance of all lots.
The sale grossed $945,730 with a top price of $60,000 in the machos and $44,000 in the hembra. The average for Machos across ages was $9862 and Hembra across ages was $7890.
